an increase in property taxes by 28.12 percent.

This tentative increase will
result in a millage rate of 11.021 mills, an increase of 1.419
mills. Without this tentative
tax increase, the millage rate will be no more
than 8.602 mills.
The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $175,000 is
approximately $106.42 and the proposed tax
increase for nonhomestead property with a fair
market value of $200,000 is approximately $106.42.
The proposed tax increase
will enable the City to meet anticipated obligations and to establish a reserve
fund.
